We finally got to see St. Louis Cathedral
in Jackson Square in the French Quarter.
This is an equestrian statue of General Andrew
Jackson. He was the man in charge of the Americans
at the Battle of New Orleans during the
War of 1812.
This is my favorite photo of the cathedral since
it is a bit artsy and there are no people in it.
Don't know what type of palm tree this is,
but I liked it.
One of the many large old trees found in the old
city of New Orleans. Look carefully and you can
see beads left over from Mardi Gras.
More left over Mardi Gras decorations on
South Peter Street.
