Canyonlands National Park, Utah

Welcome!  It's been a few days
since my last posting due to
internet issues.

An open range means cattle
have the right of way in the west!

It was easier to post the sign
than try to remember all
it had to say.

Tens of thousands of years ago,
Native Americans wrote messages
in the form of petroglyphs.

One of the strange and wonderful
geological formations in Canyonlands.

Journeying down into Canyonlands
sculpted by the Colorado River
over hundreds of millions of years,
these huge monoliths survived.

"Wooden Shoe Arch"

This shows the broad expanse of the land.

Beauty is seen at every turn
of the head.

The only wild animal we saw today
was my new friend who posed for me.
Meet Mr. Lizard!

A gigantic monolith, symbolic
of Canyonlands National Park!
