Munising, Michigan

Here we are at Painted Rock National Shoreline in
Munising, Michigan. Different colors of minerals were
sandwiched together to form the various color layers.
The action of the waves exposed the striations.

A close up shot of the rock formation.

Even on a quiet day you can see the wave action.

A long distance view of the painted cliffs. Tomorrow we
head off through Wisconsin (love that cheese!) and into the
land of 10,000 lakes (Minnesota - Lutheran territory!!).
