Memphis, Tennessee

This is a swamp cypress found along state route 70
in eastern Arkansas.

Here you see a stand of swamp cypress in a pond
used for raising catfish.

It's hard to imagine how big farm equipment can
be until you see it moving along a highway. We
had to pull off the road so it could pass.

This is a series of rice paddies. During part of the
year, the field must be flooded with water so the
weeds would be killed and the new rice could be
seeded in water.

First time in Tennessee!

Memphis along the Mississippi River was our
goal this afternoon. Here are homes on th
bluff above the Mississippi flood plain.
Beautiful view - beautiful price!

The beautiful view was the Mississippi River carrying
goods in barges.

The beautiful view was the playgrounds on the
flood plain.

The beautiful view was the skyscrapers of
downtown Memphis.
