Grand Teton National Park, WY

A small roaring mountain stream.

I finally got a picture of a moose!
This is about a two year old female.

Welcome to Grand Teton National Park.
The center mountain is called the Grand Teton
and is 13,770 feet.

Unidentified white flowers. I call them puff balls.
Because of the abundance of moisture from more than
20 feet of snow, there is an unusual amount of
flowers and grass in the park.

Mt. Moran with an ox bow lake in the foreground.

Grand Tetons as seen from Jackson Lodge.
Jackson Lake is a man made lake.

Close up shot of Mt. Moran so I could easily see the glaciers.

As the glaciers melt and freeze, the earth around it is
loosened causing landslides and even large boulders
to fall down the mountain.

The stream and waterfalls are being created
by the melting glacier.

Good bye from Grand Teton National Park.
We are wearing our new glow in the dark
T-shirts from Mammoth Site, Hot Springs, SD.
For the next several days we will not have internet
service since we are heading off to Yellowstone National Park.
Don't forget to check back in with us in a few days.
