Lassen Volcanic National Park, CA

Mt. Shasta, California.

We happened to find these interesting creations in
Cassel. A pre-fabricating company did these for fun.

Some more of the collection.

A very interesting plant found on Highway 89,
approximately 20 miles before Lassen
Volcanic National Park.

Playing among the ponderosa pines, which are
gorgeous. Its pine cones are pretty large.

A tall, straight and majestic ponderosa
pine against a beautiful blue sky.

Welcome!

In the center you see a volcanic plug. In the foreground
is a debris field.

A meadow still partly covered in snow.

The meadow is partially flooded from melting snow.

The higher we drove, the more snow we found.

Trees were flattened by the immense weight
of the snow.

Summit Lake is finally melting.
The blue is reminiscent of Crater Lake.

This drift is about 16' high.

Lassen Peak is a popular mountain
climbing destination, but not today.
Snow still covers many of the trails.

As soon as the snow melts, flowers begin to grow.

More alpine flowers to enjoy.
