Western Florida Panhandle

The beach here in Panama City Beach finally looks
like beaches we are used to seeing.  There
is a lovely fishing pier, white sand and wide beach.

Sand dunes near Fort Elgin.

Before the hurricane of 2006, these dunes
were much higher.  Several miles of Route 98
were upended during the storm.

The dunes on the other side of Route 98.

A tribute to the Blue Angels appears in the
rest areas of I-10.

I was totally amused by watching vehicles pulling
up to the automated windshield washer as they
were leaving the rest area.  How many of you
have ever seen this before?  What a clever idea!

It's my silly picture of the day!
Of course we had to take our turn at the
windshield washer.  It was entertaining!
