Going to Gunnison, CO: 5-10-18

This is my new house being built.
Only kidding!  I have a fascination
with real log homes.

Mount Princeton.
This is one of the Collegiate Peaks
and one of the 14r's.

Here you see what is called
The Chalk Cliffs at the left
of Mount Princeton.  It is not
really chalk, but quartz.

An abandoned mine heading up
to Monarch Pass.

We were five days too early to take
this scenic ride up to the top of
the mountain at Monarch Pass.

This is snow removal on a massive scale.
With hundreds of inches of snow, it takes
a huge snow blower driven by tires with
chains.

You know I just had to play
in the snow!!!
