Going to Silt and Steamboat Springs, CO

Driving towards Silt, we caught the back
sides of the Maroon Bells.

The cooling waters of the Crystal River.

This is our third time back at the Holiday
Inn Express, where we can sit on the
balcony and watch the Colorado
River go by in Silt.
Simply beautiful!

Too bad this bird was not looking
my way, but I just had to
take the picture anyway.

Good morning, Bill!
He is happy with the Colorado River
behind him with the small snow
capped mountain in the background.

Came across the Rifle Gap Dam and
Reservoir on the way to
Steamboat Springs.

Saw this herd of Scottish Herefords
along Rt. 13.

This section of Route 40 is known as
the Graze Lands.  There were
several cattle ranches along the way.
I have developed an allergy to
the cottonwood trees you see!
