Entering San Diego, CA

We climbed to about 3,000 feet crossing the mountains
on the way to San Diego this morning.  By the way,
yesterday's post was completed today after a visit
to the Geek Squad in San Diego.

Looks like a pile of huge rocks and boulders.

Looking down into one of the washes.  These
are needed during flash floods.

The border!  Past the fence is Mexico.
No, we stayed in the USA!

This was taken in Balboa Park.  This park is
huge and has a lot to offer from sports to
fine arts.  Lots of people ride bikes, run and jog.
Bill was doing some research on flowering
trees and found out that these are called
Jacaranda trees.

Here you see a spire of an old Catholic Mission
Church in the park that is now a museum.

Bill is hugging one of the many
eucalyptus trees!

Our first look at San Diego Bay with all the
very expensive yachts from our hotel balcony.
