Indio, CA

Bill is playing a saguaro cactus in the Imperial
Sand Dunes just inside CA.

This is the American Canal you see in the distance
in California's Imperial Valley.

Closeup of the Imperial Valley irrigation Canal.

Non-irrigated land is barren.

The Salton Sea.

The Salton Sea was once a recreational mecca
for the people of southern CA. The lake has deteriorated
and so has the surrounding area.  We found this in an
RV storage place with many others.

Hope is on the horizon for the northern area.

The Indio area is the date capital of the world.
Vineyards can also be found.

Sue and Jack, who used to live in Brick, NJ and attend
Holy Cross, invited us over for dinner this evening.
We had a great time and had a wonderful dinner.
Thanks!
