Williston has become a boomtown since fracking
was introduced to recover oil. Our way into town
last night was, indeed, a lesson that Anerican
ingenuity is alive and well in this part of the
country. Roads are being built, homes are being
constructed, and the list goes on and on, If you
are looking for a job in any area, you will find
it here in Williston, ND! I have never seen so
many help wanted sign up. Good pay with
good benefits are all over the place.
Workers have come here from all over the world.
Where are they living? You can see sights like
this all over Williston and beyond of RV's, trailers
and other types of cramped quarters. If you can
endure this type of living condition, the long working
hours and the 60 degree below zero temperatures,
there is a job in ND for you.
Slightly better accommodations can be found in
these micro houses. I must tell you that the traffic
around town is bumper to bumper at times and
it seems work in all areas is going on 24/7.
You can see drilling equipment on this flat bed
18 wheeler. We have seen thousands of trucks
of all kinds on the highway.
Pumpers and storage tanks across a field
of wheat.
I never thought I would see Montana again!
Thanks be to God!!!
Unprocessed wheat is being stored outside to dry.
When wheat is dry enough, it is stored in these
huge silos. This facility can receive 100-150
trucks of wheat per day.
This is the spillway of the Fort Peck Dam in
Fort Peck, MT.
Because of the amount of rain for the last two years,
this reservoir is filled to capacity.
