Cody, WY to Gillette, WY: May 18, 2016

This beautiful hedge of lilacs
greeted us through the window
at the Best Western Premier
in Cody, WY.

It was our first time at a BW Premier.

A beautiful view at the Cody Dam.

Farming being done in Worland, WY.

A recycling center in Worland with a
John Deere display of antiques.

Couldn't resist one more sheep!

A unique geological rock formation
on the way to Gillette, WY.

This is the beginning of Tensleep Canyon.
Cottonwoods congregate by the Tensleep
Creek.  The cottonwoods produce cotton
type balls that fly around in the spring.

A partially frozen alpine lake as we were
nearing the Powder River Pass.

The snow fences at the top of the pass show
how well the snow has drifted.  Powder River
Pass is 9,666 feet.  I had to say
good bye to the mountains and snow
with tears in my eyes.
