Welcome to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison!
Remember we had started this a few days ago and
got snowed out.
This is the hair raising road that runs along
the north rim of the Black Canyon.
This is the best view of the Gunnison River
from the north rim.
A pair of yearling mule deer.
On the way to Silt, CO, we saw three kayakers
on the swift moving Colorado River.
A waterfall on the Crystal River near Redstone.
After many hours of driving and adding more
than 60 miles to the trip, we finally found the
Maroon Bells only to find the road to get
closer to them was closed. This was the best
I could do. Guess another trip to Aspen
may be coming!?
