Death Valley National Park, CA

We stayed at the Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley.
It is almost 200 feet below sea level and has an
18 hole golf course.

We were heading north on Route 190 when
we saw a large dust storm on the horizon.

This area has frequent dust storms.
It is called Mesquite Dunes.
It is also called Devil's Cornfield.

Mesquite Dunes up close.

In order to leave Death Valley on Route 190,
we had to climb to a 5,000 foot pass.
Around us was a dusting of fresh snow on the mountains.

Wildflowers found west of Death Valley.
