Zion National Park, Utah

A view our room in Elk Lodge near Bryce Canyon.

One of two tunnels in Red Rock Canyon.

Red Rock Canyon is west of Bryce Canyon NP.

An hour southwest of Bryce in Zion.

Checkerboard Mesa created by glaciers.

Scenic formations in Zion along Route 9.

A large cave shaped formation called
"The Amphitheater".

We surprised Margo, who used to work with me
in the Toms River Target, at the one she now
works in St. George, UT.

This morning in Bryce it was in the low 50's.
We were here about 3:00 and it was 97!

Lake Mead is about 60 miles long and was created
by the damming of the Colorado River by the
Hoover Dam.

These are the four intake towers at the Hoover Dam.

A new bridge is being built to take the traffic
off the top of the Hoover Dam for security purposes.

The water level at the Hoover Dam is down about
35 feet. Numerous dams upstream have diverted
water for residential and agricultural purposes.
The white area above the current water level
is where it should be at this time in the spring.
