Durango, Colorado

An authentic adobe farm building
just north of Santa Fe, NM.

Abiquiu Lake off Route 84 in New Mexico.

Beautifully colored sedimentary rock.

Rock formations being eroded.

As some layers are eroded by water they streak
like water color paint running.

We stumbled upon this natural amphitheater
eroded by water and wind.

This hollowed out shell was more than a hundred
feet wide. Notice the water dripping over the ledge
continuing the hollowing out process.

Rock formation to the left of the amphitheater.

Formation to the right.

Snow capped Mt. Cumbres near the
Colorado border.

Bill and the Continental Divide sign were
both being whipped by 40 MPH winds.
This was the least impressive continental divide
sign we had ever seen.

We now have crossed into Colorado on Route 550.

Snow capped mountains of southern Colorado.
