Bill got tired just hearing about how long
and difficult the Bright Angel Trail was.
A few hundred yards down the trail you pass
through a tunnel.
The descent becomes more difficult and dangerous
as you travel along the nine mile trail. See if
you can see the people near the switchback.
More switchback occur as you descend.
You must take with you a gallon of water.
About 3,000 feet into the canyon you can make a choice
to turn around and go back to the rim or continue
to the bottom where hopefully you have made
reservations for a bed. It is primitive to say the least.
You can also take a mule to the bottom
if you weigh less than 200 pounds.
Help! I am barely hanging on!
Donna (daughter), now I have a picture like yours!
The happy couple that didn't go to the
bottom of the Grand Canyon.
We walked the south rim in the late afternoon.
Shadows are lengthening in the Canyon.
Waiting for the sun to set.
The end to a perfect day.
