Grand Canyon, AZ: 5-15-2010

Red rock formation south of Sedona, AZ

I was so pleased to be able to capture this
little red bird sitting on the cactus.

Chapel of the Holy Cross. The cross is close
to seventy feet high.

Aspen at the Arizona Snow Bowl, north of Flagstaff.
Notice there is still snow on the ground.

Clack Clack!! We had lunch in a little pull off in the
San Francisco peaks. The PBR's are a tribute
to my dear friend Jill. Note they are empty!

I have finally arrived here after wanting see
the Grand Canyon for more than forty years.

Words can't describe what we saw.

Oooh...Ahhh.

Enjoy the view.

The gnarly tree and me.

Just gorgeous!

We are standing 8,000 feet above sea level.

At the widest point the canyon is 17 miles across
to the north rim. We are at the south rim.
