Monument Valley, Utah: 5-18-10

Panoramic view of Monument Valley.

Every formation has a name. This one is
"The Three Sisters"

In the background you can see sand being blown
over a cliff to make a sand dune. In the foreground
is a flowering yucca plant.

Two more formations.

"The Mittens"

In the town of Mexican Hat, we found
the formation called "Mexican Hat".

Canyonlands National Park, Utah.

These are some of the needle like formations
found on the canyon floor. They are probably
30-40 feet tall.

I like the rocks and vegetation.

Canyonlands was also formed by the Colorado River.
It is reminiscent of the Grand Canyon.

Bill is modeling his new hat from the Grand Canyon.

This is Wilson's Arch located near Moab, Utah.
